Home Delivery Volunteers commit to regularly delivering nutritious groceries to our senior and home-bound clients.

This opportunity is a hands-on activity and is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old and can pass a background check and provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver's license. As volunteers, you use your own vehicle, mileage and gas to deliver food.

As a home delivery volunteer, you will work onsite at the distribution location and help prepare food for delivery. You will load boxes, so you must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. You must follow a pre-established route, follow Food Safety and COVID 19 Health Guidance, and have excellent client service skills that include a desire to interact with older clients or clients with disabilities.

Once you have completed your first volunteer shift, you can decide if you would like to commit as a long-term volunteer. If you would like to move forward, you must sign a Home Delivery Volunteer Agreement and submit to a background check before the next volunteer event.

Students age 16+ must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate but may attend volunteer events by themselves.
Students (14+) must have permission from a parent or guardian and must be supervised by an adult volunteer.
Students (12+) must have permission from a parent or guardian and must be supervised by an adult volunteer.

Please be advised that if you tried to register for the EXPO or Turkey Trot race, that special event is not eligible for court mandated service and you will not be able to register for those opportunities.


Otherwise, our staff will review your application and reach out to you via email or phone within a few business days.  All court ordered volunteers must be pre-screened in advance and volunteer at an approved time and location.
