Community Nutrition - Health Ambassador Volunteer
Responsibilities and Requirements:
In this role, you will:
Share your passion for nutritious foods, cooking, and community engagement.
Share basic nutrition knowledge and food safety practices through recipes, in-line education and presentations.
Assist with cooking demonstrations and food sampling at our Free Grocery Programs.
Work alongside the Community Nutrition Team.
Be part of one of the most robust and innovative food banks in the country.
Add value to our program by enhancing the client experience.
Requirements
Complete our online Health Ambassador and Food Safety Training.
Commit to a minimum of one site per month, for at least 3 months.
Ability to travel within Santa Clara or San Mateo County.
Comfortable engaging with diverse groups in a fast-paced setting.
Bilingual in another language a plus (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, or Tagalog)
Must be 17+ years old.
